I work in printmaking for its repetitive nature. Having the capacity to produce distinct yet individual copies, and its nuanced craftsmanship, make printmaking the perfect vessel for addressing societal concerns rooted in visibility. Spanning a broad spectrum of printmaking methods, my artistic expression unfolds through a dynamic interchange of intaglio, chromolithography, and various other methods. Focused on change and transformation through the experience of loving oneself, my work conveys an ephemeral experience of self-love and acceptance through womanhood and neurodivergence by using feminine motifs and themes. My body of work aims to convey the nuanced dynamics of being both polarized and fragile, yet inherently powerful, while embracing vulnerability. Vintage designs, delicate patterns, and the use of recurring feminine figures, often with stereotypical feminine traits, exploring the pain of femininity. My work is based off not only my experiences, but experiences I see from my peers and strangers all over the world, I absorb these experiences and translate them to my own language. I intend to explore these complex experiences while also contributing to broader dialogues on self-love, visibility and the intricate dynamics of our shared humanity.
